Esports; Competitive Video Gaming as a School Subject!!

Esports; competitive video gaming is now a high school team sport in U.S. 
As researched by Newzoo, the global esports market is to generate more than $1 billion in 2019. It  is also estimated that the esports audience will reach 454 million this year. The regular esports season in US runs through the end of April and finals start in May.
At a certain time period in the past, playing video games for a living was a fantasy. Today, some players are feeding their entire families from it. This has made students to consider it a career goal
Good players make hundreds of thousands of dollars per annum. They compete for millions of dollars in prizes. For example, Dr.Lupo in the gaming community is a live streamer of online game play for more than 7 million followers. Also, now ith universities such as New York University and the University of California, Irvine now offers scholarships for video games. The career direction for esports is more similar to traditional sports. 
Some gamers are now signing endorsement deals that were once reserved for the likes of Lebron James and Tom Brady. Dr Lupo is one of those gamers. He's the first individual esports athlete to sign an endorsement deal with State Farm.

In 2018, Fortnite became an international video game sensation. It added 125 million players in a matter of months.

Thereby, if you are a gamer, you do have a future if you play the game properly!!
